Enhancing Communication in Early Childhood: Empowering Professionals and Parents

This training will help you understand visual supports and become a better communication partner for those who use any sort of communication tool, or AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). AAC can be as simple as using photographs or visual routines to provide a visual of what you are saying, or as complicated as a dedicated device or AAC app.
Debbie will review some of the most common myths that currently exist around the use of AAC; overview the “Model as a Master Pal” program created by Tabi Jones-Wohleber; and provide practical resources you can use in your day-to-day practice!
